Bank transfers, personal credit, and medical debt extend the basic ledger with consent and recurring obligations. This guide remains a draft while two-player transfers and the remaining real-client matrices await verification.
Transfer bank funds
Use /transfer at a bank counter or active ATM. Both characters must be online and in character, and the sender cannot target themself.
The recipient accepts with the displayed Y key or declines with N. Decline, expiry, changed eligibility, or insufficient funds at acceptance moves no money. A successful transfer moves bank funds directly and does not use carried cash or charge a transfer fee.
Policy allowances are rechecked at acceptance and intentionally not duplicated here. A refusal that names a sending allowance is describing a rolling window rather than a calendar day: it clears once a full period has passed since the first transfer that opened it. Use /pay instead for a nearby carried-cash payment.
Take a personal loan
Use /loan to review the current character’s credit state. Taking a new loan happens at the bank counter, not an ATM.
The character must meet the current completed-session eligibility, have no active personal loan, fit the displayed credit tier, and have no blocking account-wide default. An unresolved home mortgage on any character on the account also blocks new personal borrowing; see Financing your first home. Review the confirmation’s principal, fixed charge, total repayment, and installment schedule before accepting.
A completed loan places its principal in the bank. The fixed charge does not shrink through early repayment.
Repay or handle arrears
Installments are attempted after eligible payday income. Offline time does not create a stack of missed charges, and insufficient bank funds do not overdraft the account.
Use the pay actions under /loan at a bank or active ATM. Partial payment clears whole arrears first and then prepays the balance; full payoff uses a confirmation and requires the complete amount.
A defaulted or arrears loan blocks new borrowing account-wide while that loan remains active. Repayment lifts that active account-wide block, but the default mark permanently reduces the defaulting character’s future credit tier. Current full-payoff wording can overstate that recovery.
Understand medical bills
Eligible hospital recovery or completed hospital treatment can create a medical charge; field treatment does not. Collection uses available carried cash first, then bank funds, and any remainder becomes medical debt. If the character is no longer online when the episode closes, the whole charge becomes debt instead: disconnecting defers a hospital fee, it never cancels it. Treatment and recovery are not denied because of debt.
Use /medbill to review the balance and recent activity. Early payment happens at the hospital counter and uses cash before bank funds. Eligible payday collection uses available bank funds within current policy.
Medical debt persists across sessions. If the module is still loading, current code can misleadingly display zero instead of refusing; do not treat that as proof the debt is cleared.
Recover from unclear money movement
- Transfer expires or either player reconnects: create a fresh offer at the banking point.
- Loan result is unclear: compare
/loanand the bank balance before another request. - An installment is missed: review arrears after the next eligible payday rather than forcing repeated manual payments.
- Medical balance unexpectedly shows zero: wait for character records to finish loading and reopen it.
- Any payment or refund disagrees: stop retrying, preserve the amount and time, and compare authoritative balances first.
Exact tiers, caps, schedules, collection bounds, interest-equivalent charges, and default thresholds are intentionally omitted.
