These interactions add persistent observable descriptions, server-authored chance results, roleplay across entrances, and consent-based gestures. This guide remains a draft while masked examination, nested-door behavior, gesture interruption, and two-client playback await verification.
Set an observable description
Use /attributes to review or replace the current character’s physical description. Write concise details another character could observe, as plain text without braces or percent signs. Do not include hidden thoughts, account information, forced outcomes, or identity claims that are not physically apparent.
The description belongs to this character and persists across reconnects. A refused save should leave the previous text intact; reopen /attributes to confirm an uncertain result.
Examine someone nearby
Stand close in the same scene and use /examine with the current player reference. A masked character must be selected through the explicitly displayed m: reference.
The private result can show mask-aware presentation, physical description, and visible persistent-injury information. It does not reveal account details, possessions, attacker data, or the identity concealed by a mask. Self-examination is supported.
Use shared chance results
/coin creates a server-authored local coin result. /dice creates bounded server-authored dice results.
These commands provide common scene output only. They do not transfer wagered money, settle a dispute automatically, or decide another character’s actions.
Roleplay across a door
/knockalerts characters on the other side of the same entrance./doorshoutcarries speech through that entrance./doordescribecarries an observable scene description to both sides.
None of these actions unlocks, opens, enters, or bypasses the door. Use descriptions for observable facts rather than assigning someone else’s reaction.
Offer a consensual gesture
- Stand near an eligible character.
- Use
/greetfor a handshake style or/hugfor an embrace. - The recipient accepts with the displayed Y key or declines with N.
/acceptand/declinereach the same result when a key shortcut is not usable. - Both characters must remain eligible and nearby until final playback.
There is no forced gesture. Decline, expiry, separation, state change, or disconnect completes no gesture. Two-client playback is still unverified, so a reported acceptance does not yet guarantee that both animations were seen.
Recover from a failed interaction
- Description save is unclear: reopen
/attributesbefore replacing it again. - Examination cannot resolve a masked player: use only the visible
m:reference from the scene. - Door output reaches the wrong context: move to the exact intended entrance and retry after current cooldown feedback.
- Gesture offer expires: restore proximity and character state, then create a fresh offer.
- Acceptance reports contradictory playback: do not force the scene result; continue through ordinary roleplay and preserve the message as a bug.
Descriptions are durable; chance output, door messages, offers, and gesture playback are temporary.
