Bare interiors replace a supported residential property’s reviewed stock template with its mapped empty shell. Property utilities create recurring owner bills and can disable amenities. This guide remains a draft because interior switching and utility payment recovery still need verification.
Prepare for an interior switch
Only the owner of a supported residential leaf property can switch at its exterior door. Before preflight, remove every occupancy and coordinate-bound dependency:
- end tenancies;
- have every online and offline occupant leave;
- remove nested entrances;
- clear furniture, world drops, vehicles, and other placed state.
Nothing is moved, packed, sold, or refunded automatically. Unpaid utility bills do not themselves block switching, but all emptiness rules still apply.
Switch between reviewed shells
Use /bareswitch at the exterior door to review the target shell, then use its confirmation only when ready. Switching is free and changes only between the mapped stock interior and bare shell.
Ownership, keys, lock, exterior, market price, and utility state remain. The original stock template returns when switching back. Shell walls, floors, and ceilings are infrastructure rather than editable furniture.
The selected revision persists through restart, sale, and ownership change. If committed state cannot be reconstructed, entry should fail safely rather than place characters at stale coordinates.
A pending confirmation is short-lived and is tied to you standing at that door in the same session. Moving away, reconnecting, or the interior changing cancels it, and nothing is switched; run /bareswitch again to create a fresh one.
A refused preflight or confirmation changes nothing and names what is blocking it. If the game instead reports that the switch was saved but the entrance is unavailable, stop trying to enter and ask staff to reconcile that property.
Understand utility billing
Character-owned properties receive combined water-and-power bills through the payday cadence. The owner pays; tenants, unowned listings, and managed rentals are exempt.
Bills use the owner’s bank. Offline time does not issue every missed period at once. Unpaid whole bills persist and are retried oldest-first without overdraft or partial bill settlement.
Repeated arrears can dim the interior and silence property radio for everyone inside. Door access, storage, furniture, keys, and ownership remain available.
Review and settle arrears
At the property door, use the utilities actions under /property to review the account, arrears, and service state or attempt payment from the owner’s bank.
Manual settlement is all-or-nothing across every outstanding bill: if the owner’s bank cannot cover the whole total, nothing is paid and the refusal names the shortfall. Its payment and interruption behavior has not yet been checked with a live game client, so if a result is unclear, reopen utility status and the bank balance before any retry.
Full settlement restores lighting and the saved property station. /sellproperty remains blocked while utility bills are unpaid.
Recover from common problems
- Switch preflight fails: clear the specific tenancy, occupant, nested entrance, item, furniture, vehicle, or placed-state blocker.
- Confirmation is refused or expired: nothing changed. Clear the reported blocker, stay at the door, and run
/bareswitchagain for a fresh confirmation. - Service is cut: review utilities at the door and settle all remaining bills.
- Payment is partial or unclear: reopen the utility list and bank balance before another attempt.
- Sale is refused: clear every outstanding utility bill in addition to ordinary property belongings.
- Interior cannot load: stop entering repeatedly and preserve the revision/property result for support.
Exact bill amounts, cadence, arrears thresholds, and shell catalogue details are intentionally omitted.
