Personal fines, criminal charges, and licences are separate records. This guide documents the current personal fine and licence-card flow but remains a draft until fine payment and the legal weapon routes are verified in game. Vehicle fines, licence administration, the driving test, MDC access, and specialist enforcement workflows remain outside its scope.

Distinguish the records

  • Active charges record alleged criminal matters and are reviewed through /charges in the police-interaction guide.
  • Personal fines are unpaid monetary records that the current character can review and pay.
  • Licences show the current driving and weapon licence status recorded for the character.

Paying a fine does not remove a charge or change a licence. Presenting a licence does not transfer it or grant another character authority over the record.

Review personal fines

Use /fines to open the current character’s unpaid personal fine list. Review the displayed amount, reason, and issuing information before choosing one.

References from the list are temporary. Reopen /fines after a payment, reconnect, or other change instead of relying on an old number.

Pay a personal fine

  1. Open a fresh /fines list.
  2. Identify the intended fine from its current details.
  3. Use /payfine with that current reference.
  4. Wait for the explicit success or refusal.
  5. Refresh /fines and check /balance after success.

Fine payment uses the character’s bank account, not carried cash. Insufficient bank funds leave the fine unpaid.

If payment reports an interruption or returned funds, do not immediately pay again. Compare the current fine list and bank balance, and retain the exact message if they disagree.

View your licence card

Use /licenses without another player to view the current character’s driving and weapon licence status.

The display reports current status rather than a physical inventory item. This guide does not promise that every driving or weapon action is mechanically blocked by licence state; each owning system defines its own enforcement.

The driving-test extension remains under real-client verification. The reviewed weapon-licence application, controlled-sale code, and exact legal gun-shop population are implemented, but the complete workflow still requires real-client verification. Until this guide is promoted after that acceptance, do not rely on /weaponlicense or /buygun as a verified acquisition route.

Present licences to another player

  1. Stand near the intended viewer.
  2. Use /licenses for that player.
  3. The viewer receives a specific presentation request.
  4. They use /licenseaccept or /licensedecline for the pending presentation.
  5. Remain nearby until the response.

This flow uses its own accept and decline commands rather than the generic Y/N offer prompt. Declining, allowing the request to lapse, or moving apart prevents the current response. Do not accept an old presentation after either player reconnects; create a fresh request.

Recover from common problems

  • A fine reference is refused: reopen /fines and use the current list.
  • Payment is refused: check the bank balance and confirm the selected personal fine is still unpaid.
  • Payment or returned funds are unclear: compare /fines and /balance before another attempt.
  • Licence presentation targets the wrong person: let it lapse or decline it, then create a fresh request with the intended viewer.
  • The presentation expired or players moved apart: return close together and start again.
  • A licence status seems incorrect: preserve the exact card output and use the appropriate in-character records or support route; do not repeatedly present it as a repair attempt.
  • Weapon application or legal purchase is unavailable: do not retry payment or seek a generic staff grant. Preserve the exact refusal and wait for the workflow’s real-client acceptance and guide promotion.
