Getting started
Create a grounded character, finish onboarding and choose a useful first goal.
Before you enter the city
Build a character who has somewhere to grow. A name, a reason for arriving and one immediate need are enough. Avoid writing a finished legend: work, friendships and mistakes are more interesting when they happen with other players.
Your first hour
Finish every onboarding prompt, then use /guide basics if you need the short in-game route again. Learn where you are, how to ask for help and how to travel before spending money.
Pick one achievable goal: find work, reach a meeting place or introduce yourself to another character. You do not need to understand every system before you begin roleplaying.
Keep player knowledge separate
What you learn as a player is not automatically known by your character. Let your character discover places, people and opportunities through scenes wherever possible.
