Every character has a persistent wardrobe of owned base-skin outfits. Your character’s creation appearance is added automatically, so you always have an owned look to return to. The ordinary civilian store catalogue is available to characters in game; there is no additional character-level or role requirement to browse it.
Know how outfit ownership works
An owned outfit belongs permanently to the character who obtained it. It is a wardrobe entry, not a general inventory item with changing custody. It does not appear in /inventory and cannot be dropped, picked up, given to another player, stored in a vehicle or property, or recovered as a world item.
Catalogue outfits use established names and are owned once each. Player renaming, outfit slots or loadouts, and selling are not part of this wardrobe.
Browse at a clothing store
Use an operating clothing counter inside a clothing store to browse the current catalogue.
Civilian clothing is refused entirely while your character is on organization duty in a uniform. Browsing, previewing, buying, and wearing all wait until you leave duty; your saved civilian outfit is untouched in the meantime.
- Open
/outfitsat the counter. - Review the available entries and the owned or currently worn indicators shown by the current interface.
- Select the intended outfit and follow the displayed confirmation before buying or changing.
- Wait for the final result before treating the outfit as owned or worn.
Opening or leaving the catalogue does not by itself add an outfit, save a skin, or charge your character. The /buyoutfit shortcut reaches the same checked purchase path for players who prefer the generated numeric command form.
Buy an outfit
A new outfit purchase uses cash and sends the payment to the world. Exact prices are shown in the current catalogue rather than repeated here.
On a successful confirmation:
- the outfit is added to this character’s wardrobe;
- the purchased outfit is immediately worn;
- the new appearance is saved; and
- the game reports the purchase and remaining cash.
A purchase is refused without a new ownership entry when you lack enough cash, the selection has become stale, you have left the store context, or payment cannot complete. An outfit you already own is not bought a second time; use the wardrobe to wear it instead.
List and wear owned outfits
Open /wardrobe anywhere to list the character’s owned outfits and identify the one currently worn. Away from an eligible changing location, the wardrobe remains useful for viewing but does not let you change.
You may wear an owned outfit while:
- at a clothing store counter;
- inside a home the character owns or rents; or
- inside a business where the character’s organization employs them.
At one of those locations:
- Open
/wardrobe. - Select an owned outfit.
- Confirm the change.
- Check that the wardrobe now marks it as worn.
/wear is the numeric shortcut to the same location and ownership checks. The generated command panel owns its current exact form.
A confirmed change updates the character’s live appearance, spawn appearance, and saved appearance. It therefore survives death and respawn, reconnecting, and a server restart. It does not alter which other outfits the character owns.
Recover from a failed or interrupted change
- The wardrobe is temporarily unavailable: reconnect before trying again. Do not treat an outfit as bought or worn unless the game gave the final success result.
- The catalogue will not open: return to an operating clothing counter inside a store. Browsing and buying are not available from the pavement or an unrelated interior.
- Everything is refused while on duty: leave organization duty first. A duty appearance replaces your civilian look temporarily and does not change which outfit you have saved.
- The wardrobe is view-only: move to a clothing store, your character’s owned or rented home, or an eligible workplace before selecting an outfit to wear.
- The catalogue closes before confirmation: no purchase should be assumed. Reopen it at the counter when ready.
- The purchase is refused: check your available cash and store context, then reopen the catalogue so you are not confirming a stale selection.
- An outfit is already owned: open
/wardrobeand wear the existing entry rather than attempting another purchase. - The numeric selection no longer matches: reopen
/outfitsor/wardrobeand use the current list. Do not rely on a number remembered from an earlier page or session. - The command form is unclear: use
/helpfor the current syntax. See Commands, prompts, and getting help.
