Resolved injury scenes can leave temporary visible aftermath and hospital charges. This guide remains a draft while the full loop - injury, treatment, recovery, charging, and collection - awaits verification on a real client.
Understand visible aftermath
Eligible help-up, EMS treatment, or hospital recovery can generate visible injury lines after the character returns to ordinary control. These are roleplay presentation, not post-recovery movement, aim, or health penalties.
They expire in real time, including while offline. Players cannot edit or conceal generated bruising, bandaging, burns, or limp descriptions.
Use /damages during an active incapacitation scene. After recovery, use /examine on yourself or a nearby recovered character to see visible aftermath separately from player-authored physical description.
Masks do not hide observable injury presentation. Examination does not disclose attacker identity, exact damage values, or hidden medical evidence.
Understand treatment boundaries
An eligible bystander can help an ordinary knockout. Authorized on-duty EMS can stabilize, operate on, or transport living patients. Stabilization alone does not revive, and dead patients cannot receive field treatment.
Eligible EMS care can shorten later visible aftermath. Field care itself is not hospital billing; qualifying hospital treatment and hospital recovery can create charges.
Understand medical charges
Collection uses carried cash first and then bank funds. Any unpaid remainder becomes bounded persistent medical debt. Debt never denies treatment, respawn, or unrelated services.
Eligible payday processing can collect part of the debt from available bank funds. Use /medbill to review the current balance and recent activity. Early payment at the hospital billing counter uses cash before bank funds.
Incarcerated characters cannot open or manually pay through /medbill, although ordinary payday collection may continue.
Recover from unclear state
/medbillunexpectedly shows zero after entry: wait for records to load and reopen it; current code can display zero while still loading.- Hospital charge has no visible confirmation: compare cash, bank, debt, and the next statement before retrying any payment.
- Injury lines do not match recovery: inspect once after state settles and preserve the treatment/recovery result.
- EMS shortening is unclear: do not repeat treatment solely to change the display duration.
- Hospital recovery fails: remain in the owning death-recovery flow rather than using unrelated spawn commands.
Exact injury durations, debt caps, charges, collection bounds, and medical classification are intentionally omitted.
