Store businesses sell persistent inventory items for carried cash. This customer guide remains a draft while the launch business catalogue and managed-stock purchase path await their complete in-game walkthrough. Venue service, consumable effects, business ownership, and resupply belong to separate guides.
Find a store that is operating
Use /businesses, choose Open now, and filter for the Store type to find member-published premises that are currently open and staffed. A directory result can change before arrival, so recheck the current exterior business label. Ordinary storefront shopping requires a Store business that is open to the public; a closed or for-sale business is not an available shop.
Stand at its entrance and use /enter. Normal door access and lock checks still apply. An eligible public cover fee is charged immediately from carried cash as part of entry rather than through a separate confirmation; entering and buying are still distinct transactions. Paid entry completes only when both the charge and required business stock use are confirmed.
This guide does not name locations or promise that every mapped storefront is operating. Use current labels and player information.
Browse the current catalogue
Inside an eligible open store, use /buy without a selection to open the current numbered catalogue. Review the displayed item names and unit prices, then use the number from that fresh list.
Do not rely on copied catalogue numbering or prices. Contents and current availability can change, and product effects belong to each item’s owning system rather than the shop itself.
Prepare cash and carrying room
Store checkout uses carried cash, not bank funds. Before buying:
- use
/balanceif available cash is uncertain; - use
/inventoryto review carried items and quantities; - make room for the intended item; and
- choose a quantity only for goods the current catalogue presents as stackable.
Individual items are bought one at a time. Current carrying and shelf availability are enforced at checkout instead of being copied into this guide.
Make and confirm a purchase
- Open a fresh catalogue in the intended store.
- Select the current item number and quantity through
/buy. - Submitting the purchase authorizes it; there is no separate checkout confirmation.
- Wait for the final success or refusal.
- On success, compare
/inventoryand/balancewith the result message.
A successful purchase names the item and quantity, records the cash payment, and creates the persistent item in the buyer’s carried custody. Buying an item does not imply that every possible use or effect is already available.
Recover from a refusal or unclear result
- The store is closed or wrong type: leave and find an open Store business.
- The store catalogue is unavailable: nothing can be bought anywhere until it is repaired. Report it through the normal support route rather than trying other stores.
- The selection is unknown: reopen
/buyand use a number from the current list. - The quantity is refused: use a valid quantity for the selected item and make enough carrying room.
- Cash is insufficient: check
/balanceand prepare carried cash through normal banking before retrying. - The item is unavailable: use the current refusal; wait or try another operating store rather than assuming copied stock information is current.
- A cover entry is refused: if the result explicitly says the charge was returned, entry did not complete and the returned cash is confirmed. A staff-review result is unresolved; check carried cash and do not repeat
/enterfor that business. - Payment or creation fails: trust a refund only when the final message explicitly confirms the exact payment was returned. Otherwise do not submit the same purchase immediately; check carried cash and
/inventoryand preserve the result for support. - The result remains inconsistent: keep the store name, visible item, quantity, approximate time, and exact result message for the established player-support route.
See Inventory, giving, dropping, and picking up items for custody after purchase and Money and banking for preparing carried cash.
