Graffiti and bulletin notes are persistent public world text with ownership and retained lifecycle history. This guide remains a draft while collision-placement verification, board population, persistence, moderation, and real-client acceptance await completion.
Create graffiti
Carry a spray can, face a suitable wall, and use /graffiti with the intended size and text. Adjust the preview through the object editor and save it. Cancelling or failing placement does not consume the can.
Use /graffitifont to choose the style for future tags. Existing text or style cannot be edited; remove the tag and create a replacement.
Manage your tags
Plain /mygraffiti lists a bounded view of active tags; its all view includes retained history.
Moving or owner-removing a tag requires the character to carry a spray can and remain eligible to create graffiti, although movement and removal do not consume that can.
/movegraffitirepositions a nearby owned tag and consumes no new can./refreshgraffitirenews an owned tag and consumes a spray can only after successful commit./removegraffitiretires an owned tag without an item refund.
Ownership belongs to the creating character. Tags cannot be transferred or sold. Saved tags can persist through reconnects and restarts in supported spaces, then expire according to current lifecycle rules. Players cannot restore removed or expired tags themselves.
Read a bulletin board
Stand beside a board and use /board. Browse recent notes and open one to read its full text, author, posting time, and current lifetime information.
Board availability depends on configured world content. This draft does not promise a launch board location until one is seeded and verified.
Post and remove a note
Use the post action under /board with plain text. If posting fails or its result is unclear, check both the board and carried cash before retrying.
Plain /mynotes reviews active notes; its all view includes retained history. Notes cannot be edited, refreshed, moved between boards, or repositioned. Remove your note through its board entry and repost a revision if needed.
A property owner, or appropriately authorized member of the business hosting a board, can remove notes from that board. An ordinary shared property key does not grant board moderation.
Understand persistence and recovery
Notes are world text, not inventory items. They expire automatically and retain removal history. Removing a board or containing space retires its active notes.
- Placement fails or is cancelled: the graffiti can should remain; check inventory before retrying.
- A tag move is cancelled: inspect the saved placement rather than assuming the preview persisted.
- Refresh or posting payment is unclear: compare the item or cash result with the current tag/note list before repeating it.
- A note needs editing: remove and repost; there is no edit action.
- A board is absent: do not infer a hidden location; launch placement remains under verification.
- Every graffiti command is refused for everyone: the tag catalogue did not load for this server run. Nothing you own is lost; wait for the next restart rather than retrying.
- Saved content disappears unexpectedly: use current history and preserve the text, owner, place, and approximate time for support.
Text formatting rules, expiry durations, fees, limits, retention windows, and moderation internals are deliberately omitted.
